Has anyone worked out how many pollutants are released into our already polluted atmosphere as a result of this display? Do we know what specific toxins are realised, and are we provided with a list of the potential carcinogens produced? Do we know how long these pollutants will remain in the atmosphere, and what proportion will be transferred into the food chain. What volumes of dioxins were produced? Do we know how long these will remain in fat soluble form in the food chain? Which medical conditions could be caused or exacerbated as a result of these pollutants? What about the green house effect, to what degree is this increased? Any answers to any of the above welcomed. Happy new year to all readers.

    • You just talking bout London when you say this display or are counting in all the countries & cities around the world who had a display as well?   Going to die sometime.

    • Dr. John Campbel who care when it’s New year’s eve

    • To give you an idea.. They have investigated how much CO2 (It’s mostly CO2 that comes from burning fireworks) is released in the whole country of NL during New years eve. And in Holland more than half of the population light fireworks for hours. So atleast 10 million people light fireworks all night. The total of CO2 released into the air turned out te be the equivalent of how much 1 coal power plant cooling tower releases in 8 hours.. So 1 coal power plant releases just as much CO2 in a third of one day as the whole country of the Netherlands does during new years eve. Atleast that’s what I’ve read. So I hope you can sleep well now because it’s NOTHING compared to what our cars do to the environment. Not even to speak about power plants and industry etc.
